Hydraulic Attachments — For All Size Excavators, Loaders & Skid Steers

VANROCK
G-Screen™

VANROCK G-Screen™ stands as the pinnacle of screening attachments globally, boasting screening rates surpassing standard screening buckets by 2–3 times. Its G-action not only screens the materials but also efficiently breaks down clumps, thanks to its dynamic tossing and turning mechanism. G-Screen™ boasts a design patent that underscores its exceptional design, not merely its outstanding functionality.

Engineering

Why the VANROCK G-Screen™?

Nine engineering decisions that make it the best screening bucket on the market.

Our screening bucket boasts an unparalleled screening area, standing as the undisputed leader in the industry. This translates to an extraordinary volume of material screened with each rotation. Every 2–3 seconds, the entire material smoothly traverses the screening surface. Take, for example, our EXG 250, featuring a screening surface area of 35 square feet (3.25 square meters).

Know-how

G-Screen™ know-how

How the G-Screen™ screens

The G-Screen™ works on a smooth, vibration-free rotation: the whole bucket turns, carrying the entire load across the screening surface every 2–3 seconds. Rotating clockwise it screens; rotating anti-clockwise it ejects the oversize — dig, screen and separate happen in one machine cycle, right where the material sits.

  • The full rotation means the complete load traverses the screen on every pass — that is why the G-Screen™ delivers screening rates 2–3× higher than conventional screening buckets.
  • The G-Action's tossing and turning doesn't just sift: after the fines have dropped through, it breaks remaining lumps apart, so the operator can either crumble the oversize down or tip it cleanly away.
  • Because the motion is rotation, not vibration, the carrier isn't shaken — no rattling pins, no operator fatigue, no loosening hardware over a full shift.
  • The base is shaped like a standard bucket, so a full load travels across site without spillage — and the bucket doubles as a watertight standard bucket when you need one.

Mesh sizes and the 5-minute changeover

Output fraction is set by the screening mesh — and on the G-Screen™ the mesh is a consumable you swap on site, not a workshop job.

  • The standard mesh range runs from 6 mm to 310 mm (¼″ to 12″), and custom apertures can be made for specific screening requirements.
  • Changeover takes one operator less than 5 minutes and no tools: unlatch the binders, release the old mesh hydraulically, fit the new one, secure it.
  • That speed changes how you work — screen fines into the truck first, then re-mesh and produce a coarser structural fraction from the same pile, in the same hour.
  • UniValve technology moves the bucket between carriers without any hydraulic recalibration, and it tolerates "incorrect" pressures and flows while keeping the screening action at the correct speed.

Beyond screening: washing, mixing, watertight bucket

One attachment, several machines' worth of work — the G-Screen™ is engineered to do more than separate dry material.

  • Underwater screening and washing: the high-torque drive and high-tensile steel frame and screen keep working fully submerged — rinse and separate clay, sand and aggregates, remove silt, and turn the bucket into a mobile wash plant that produces cleaner, saleable aggregate while reducing water consumption.
  • Wet and sticky feed: an optional brush kit keeps the mesh clear in high-moisture soil so throughput holds where conventional screens blind over.
  • Mixing mode: swap the mesh for a mixing plate and the same tossing-and-turning action blends concrete, fertilizer or soil — a true 3-in-1: standard bucket, screening bucket, mixing bucket.
  • Heavy-duty, low-maintenance construction means the same unit moves between screening, washing and mixing duty without special servicing between roles.

Where the G-Screen™ earns its keep

Every cubic meter screened on site is material you neither haul to a tip nor buy back as fill — operators report saving tens of thousands per year on disposal, purchased material and trucking alone.

  • Civil and pipelines: screen trench spoil at the edge of the trench and reuse it as bedding sand and padding — no imported material, no double handling.
  • Demolition and recycling: turn concrete rubble into reusable road base on site, and pull saleable fines out of mixed skip-bin and landfill waste.
  • Scrap and metal recovery: recover buried scrap steel from soil stockpiles and foundry casting sand — hidden value that would otherwise leave with the waste.
  • Landscaping and topsoil: screen stripped site soil and gravel into saleable topsoil with the machine already on site.
  • Mining and quarrying: remove contamination from mined material and lift product quality without a static plant.
  • Agriculture and fertilizer: de-clump caked fertilizer such as urea, screen compost and feedlot material, and separate rocks from productive soil.
  • Rail and municipal: screen ballast and road base for reuse, and separate street-sweeper waste into recoverable fractions.

FAQ

G-Screen™ FAQ

Usually, screening buckets are attachments affixed to excavators or loaders designed to segregate large particles from small ones. In addition to better segregation, only G-Screen possesses the capability to also function as a standard loading bucket and to mix/blend concrete and aggregates.
