What sizing mistakes do buyers make with multi processors?
The most common mistake is matching only by excavator tonnage and ignoring hydraulic demand and jaw geometry. On this range, oil flow and pressure increase by size, and opening width varies a lot between jaw families and models.
Examples from the data make that clear. A VR-MS 20 and VR-MC 20 both fit 19–26 Tons, but the VR-MS 20 has a 550 mm opening while the VR-MC 20 has a 950 mm opening. At the large end, VR-MS 50 and VR-MC 50 both need 350 bar and 360–380 LPM, but their openings are 760 mm and 1,400 mm respectively.
Another mistake is not checking rotation circuit requirements. Every model needs 160 bar for the rotation motor, with 36–40 LPM or 75–80 LPM depending on size.
