What mistakes cause poor model selection on an auto tilt pile driver?
The most common mistake is choosing by excavator tonnage alone and ignoring oil flow, force and reach. This product line is split by carrier class, but each model also has a specific hydraulic demand and working range.
A second mistake is overlooking total attachment mass. Hammer weight ranges from 1,410 kg to 2,250 kg, and extension boom weight from 520 kg to 700 kg. Another is selecting too little centrifugal force for the job: the range runs from 324 kN on VR-SH 15 Tilt to 940 kN on VR-SH 40 Tilt.
Also check the actual reach needed. Working range goes from 7 / 7.5 m up to 11.5 / 12.5 m. If the job needs riverside access or boom adjustment, that can decide the correct model just as much as excavator size.
