What are the usual sizing mistakes when choosing a static pulverizer?
The usual mistake is choosing only by excavator tonnage and ignoring oil flow, pressure, opening width, and wear concept. A correct match needs all of those checked against the exact model.
Typical errors are:
- Picking a 250–320 LPM model when the carrier only supplies 100–160 LPM or 200–250 LPM
- Missing the required operating pressure: size 15 uses 300 bar, sizes 20/30/40 use 320 bar
- Choosing too little opening width for the concrete section: range is 720 mm to 1,150 mm
- Choosing welded teeth when on-site tooth swap and reduced downtime matter more
Also check attachment weight. The range is 1,150–3,450 kg, and the 20 size differs by type: VR-PW 20 is 1,800 kg while VR-PR 20 is 2,100 kg.
