What are common sizing mistakes when selecting a one cylinder multi processor?
The main mistakes are choosing by weight alone, ignoring hydraulic demand, and picking the wrong jaw for the job. This range has clear splits by carrier class and oil flow.
- Do not mix size 20 and size 30 carrier classes: 19–26 Tons versus 26–32 Tons
- Do not overlook oil flow: 200–250 LPM on size 20, 250–320 LPM on size 30, all at 320 bar
- Do not ignore rotation requirements: 160 bar and 36–40 LPM on every model
- Do not choose by opening only; match the jaw type to the work: shear for steel and rebar, pulverizer for secondary crushing and rebar separation, demolition for primary reinforced concrete work
Those checks prevent most selection errors.
