How does an auto tilt pile driver tilt and rotate without tilt cylinders?
It uses a 90° auto tilt with Auto Hold and 360° hydraulic rotation, without tilt cylinders. The direct practical point is that the hammer can pick the pile up horizontally, tilt it to vertical and hold it in the 90° position.
The VANROCK specification is clear on why this matters: there are no failure-prone tilt cylinders and no tilt-cylinder maintenance. The compact design also avoids the extra components associated with cylinder-based tilt arrangements. At the same time, the hammer still gives you 360° rotation and a full 90° tilt angle on every model: VR-SH 15 Tilt, VR-SH 25 Tilt, VR-SH 30 Tilt and VR-SH 40 Tilt. That setup is intended to make work more efficient and safer.
