Choose by excavator class first, then by force. VR-RS 20 is specified for 18–26 ton excavators, while VR-RS 30 is specified for 26–32 ton excavators.

If both machine class and hydraulics support either option, the published differences are mainly force and hydraulic requirement. VR-RS 20 delivers 42 ton crushing force at tip and 165 ton max. cutting force at 320 bar with 250–300 LPM. VR-RS 30 delivers 47 ton crushing force at tip and 185 ton max. cutting force at 350 bar with 250–320 LPM.

Both have the same 650 mm max. opening width, 415 mm cutter opening width, 800 mm working depth, and 360° rotation with 2 motors. Operating weight is 1,910 kg for VR-RS 20 and 2,100 kg for VR-RS 30.
